LA GRANDE BOUFFE – TERMS & CONDITIONS
Professional Catering Services – Ibiza & Formentera
Effective 2025
1. Company Status & Legal Compliance
La Grande Bouffe (“LGB”, “we”, “our”) is a fully licensed catering company operating in Ibiza.
We hold all required insurances and comply with sanitary and hygiene standards as regulated by Sanidad including regular inspections. All food production, handling, transport, and service follow legally mandated safety procedures.
2. Booking & Payment Terms
2.1 Deposit
To secure your event date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. Your date is only confirmed once this payment has been received.
2.2 Final Balance
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the event date.
2.3 Late Payments
Failure to pay the final balance by the deadline may result in cancellation of services without refund of the deposit.
3. Cancellation & Postponement Policy
3.1 Cancellations
All deposits are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
3.2 Postponement / Date Changes
If you need to postpone or change your date:
● We will transfer your booking to a new date at no extra cost provided we are available that date.
● No refunds are issued for postponed or rescheduled events.
4. Guest Numbers
4.1 Weddings
Minimum guest count: 30 persons. If final numbers fall below 30, the client will be charged the equivalent of the 30-guest minimum.
4.2 Non-Wedding Events
No minimum number of guests applies.
4.3 Final Numbers
Final guest count must be confirmed 4 weeks before the event date, together with your final menu selection.
4.4 Late Night Snack Numbers
Must be 70% minimum of the total guest number. Minimum 50 pax for late night snack or we will charge for this number if you have fewer guests.
5. Staffing & Service Hours
5.1 Staffing Rates
All front-of-house and service staff are charged at €30 per hour per staff member.
5.2 Wedding Events
Wedding packages are based on an estimated 10-hour service, including staff set-up, event service, and pack-down.
5.3 Day-2 / Casual Events
Estimated service duration: 5–6 hours.
5.4 Delay Fee
LGB includes up to 1 hour of delay within the agreed schedule. After this, a delay charge of €250 per 30 minutes will be applied.
5.5 Manager Fee
There will be an additional all-inclusive fee for a manager on hand for the duration of your event. This is non-negotiable for weddings and ensures a smooth service
6. Equipment, Logistics & Additional Costs
6.1 Kitchen Build
Some venues require a temporary kitchen setup. Costs range from €500–€1,500, typically €1,000, depending on the location and requirements. This includes temporary kitchen construction, van/transport hire, logistics team, equipment handling, de-rig, and cleaning.
6.2 Generator
If a generator is required, it will be provided at an additional supplemental cost.
6.3 Tableware & Serviceware
Included as standard: silver cutlery and white plates. Optional upgrades (premium plates, designer cutlery, specialty items) are available through rental partners at an additional cost. Glassware is provided as part of the bar service and is therefore not included in catering tableware.
6.4 Timings & Setup
Setup and service timings will follow the final event schedule provided by the planner. No fixed setup/pack-down hours are guaranteed until the planner’s schedule is confirmed.
7. Menu, Dietary Requirements & Tastings
7.1 Dietary Requirements
We cater for all dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, allergies, religious diets,
and medical dietary requirements. Dietary meals are prepared and served separately where required.
7.2 Menu Finalisation
Your final menu choice and any special requirements must be confirmed 4 weeks before the event.
7.3 Menu Tastings
Menu tastings are available at €250 per tasting session. Tasting fees are non-refundable.
8. Locations, Travel & Access
8.1 Ibiza Coverage
We cater events across the entire island of Ibiza, including Tagomago.
8.2 Formentera
We are available for events in Formentera. All travel, logistics, transport, and staff travel fees will be charged to the client.
8.3 Access Requirements
Clients must ensure that the venue is accessible for catering teams, vehicles, and equipment. Any additional costs arising from restricted access will be charged to the client
9. Damage, Liability & Weather Conditions
9.1 Damage & Breakages
Any breakages, losses, or theft of La Grande Bouffe equipment—including plates, cutlery, kitchen equipment, and service items—will be charged to the client at replacement value.
9.2 Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for the behaviour and actions of their guests. Damage caused by guests must be covered by the client.
9.3 Weather Contingencies
For outdoor events, the client is responsible for providing adequate cover, shelter, and protection for all kitchen and catering equipment in the case of rain, strong wind, heat, or unforeseen weather conditions. Any damage or additional cost resulting from insufficient cover will be charged to the client.
10. Changes, Amendments & Additional Requests
We will always do our best to accommodate changes or additions. Any changes requested after the 4-week deadline may incur additional charges depending on staffing, logistics, or food adjustments.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By paying the deposit, the client confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and enters into a binding agreement with La Grande Bouffe.
